Secure your PDF files with HTML Executable (Video)

With our ebook compiler, HTML Executable, you can convert a PDF file into a secure standalone ebook application (EXE) for Windows. This could aptly be called ‘PDF Executable’ in this context.

The resulting application is standalone and doesn’t require any PDF viewer like Adobe Reader, as it has a built-in PDF viewer. Once converted, the PDF can no longer be saved (no ‘Save As’ command) or copied. However, you can still read it, navigate through it using the integrated navigation tools, and optionally print it.

In the video tutorial below, we explain how to convert a PDF into an ebook with HTML Executable. We’ve also included additional customization steps such as disabling Print, Print Screen, adding password protection (you can even enhance security with the features of HTML Executable), integrating a splash screen, changing the ebook window’s appearance, and creating a custom icon for your ebook EXE file with our icon software, GConvert – and much more.
